Luna is from Amsterdam, The Netherlands and had the privilege of visiting 50 countries before the age of 24.

 

"During my first solo travel to Thailand at 18 I met a version of myself I had no idea existed. She felt truly free, empowered, confident, alive and connected for the first time ever. I quickly came to the realisation that reality is something you create rather than being something you accept, but even with that belief, I still chose the “traditional” path: hopping into university, a cum laude degree, a stable job, and a routine that looked perfect from the outside.

Still, I was craving something more! I decided to escape my routine as much as possible during vacation days or long weekends... which only fueled the craving more! I ended up traveling longer term and fell in love with surfing which absolutely changed my perspective on life. It empowered me, provided a sense of freedom and connection with a community of likeminded people. Like a flood of dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins, this was the same type of feeling I had discovered during my first ever solo trip. I went from routine and expectations to a life full of ocean, community, adventure, creativity and pure aliveness.

Along the way, my friends continued to take the next steps of the life we are meant to follow: career, housing, engaging... but in the mean time, I was meeting countless women who also felt out of place in routine and experienced the same pull: A desire for more. So I created what I and many other girls were longing for: a supportive and empowering community of adventurous girls searching for connection, real surf progress and a lust for life.
